Deposits and Cancellations


A client may pay a deposit to a photographer to ensure the client has the photographer’s services at a specific time and place. Upon acceptance of this deposit, the photographer agrees to forego scheduling any other client at the specified date and time. If the client cancels the contract, the photographer can keep the deposit.

Client´s request for Cancellation or Rescheduling


  • You may reschedule either your session date or your in-person sales appointment one (1) time for no additional fee, provided that you contact the studio at least 48 hours for portraits and 3 months in advance for events prior to your scheduled appointment, failure to comply will result in the deposit being non-refundable.


Photographer´s request of Cancellation


  • If the Photographer cannot perform this Contract due to act of God, cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, a free rescheduling will be given to the client as compensation for the inconvenience or if requested the deposit originally paid will be fully refunded to the client


Beyond your Control


  • If there is inclement weather a cancellation will be induced with a free reschedule or refunded deposit. In relation to emergencies state wide for instance act of terrorism, natural disasters, fires, earthquakes, ext...


Attendance


In the unlikely event of the assigned Photographer being unable to attend your sitting due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to offer an alternative date or appoint another photographer to attend your sitting on our behalf to undertake the photography to his/her best ability.

Tardiness


  • If you are up to 15 minutes late, that time will count towards your session
  • If you are more than 20 minutes late with no call, you will forfeit your booking fee and I'll have the right to cancel the session


Policies

Portrait Session


  • Sessions are not booked until the signed contract and deposit are received.
  • The remaining balance is due on the session date. If unpaid, KTE Photography will hold sneak peeks and session images until paid.
  • The session fee is non-refundable once the session has already been shot
  • Time limits are guidelines only. They may be shorter or longer depending on the photographer’s discretion. No make-up time or refund will be given if all time is not used. No additional fees will be charged should extra time be used due to the photographer’s choice. The additional time requested by the client will be at a cost.


Wedding/Events


  • A deposit of 50% of your quoted coverage fee is due immediately to reserve your event date, along with your signed contract and invoice. I will not reserve a date or time without BOTH your payment and the signed contract. The remainder of your full balance is due no later than 2 weeks before your event date. 
  • It is required that a meal be provided by Client if the event exceeds the 6 hour time frame. This enables the photographer to stay nearby, eat fast, and go right back to shooting as soon as I am are finished. A well fed photographer will certainly take better, more energized photographs as they have the needed fuel.


Terms and Conditions

Copyright


Photographers shall maintain the copyright of all photographs. Photographer grants Client permission to make copies of the images for personal use by Client and their family and friends. Sale, publication, or any other commercial use is specifically prohibited without the prior written consent of Photographer which can include small businesses. Client agrees not to edit or alter the photographs in any way.

Retouching


All images will be adjusted for skin blemishes, exposure, brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc. The Photographer's judgement regarding these corrections and the number of images put forward to the Client for preview shall be deemed correct. Digital manipulation and artist finishing is available to the Client as an option at extra cost.

Display


The Photographer may display any photographs (NOT INCLUDING BOURDOIR SESSIONS) in his/her studio, website, portfolio, literature, display areas, exhibitions, competitions, advertising or slide shows(Unless otherwise specified by the specific client BEFORE a shoot)

Alternatives


  • NO editing shall be done by the clients after the photos have been released to the client without approval and permission from the photographer.
  • If the client is wanting to make an alteration to the photos, it must be sent to the photographer beforehand to therefore keep the photographer’s company image intact.
  • If DRASTIC editing changes are made and approved by the photographer, the photographer will require the client to tell others of the changes that were done by the client and NOT the photographer.

Satisfaction & Accuracy


The client agrees that the photographer has no control over complications outside of their control such as weather, location, venue lighting, schedule complications, time restraints and subject's ability to cooperate, are all factors in the quality of the photographs.
